Sample Itinerary

Mabul Island first became popular due to its close proximity to Sipadan Island. It has gained its own recognition as one of the best “muck-diving” sites in the world. Mabul is arguably one of the riches single destinations for exotic small marine life anywhere in the world. Sipadan is an oceanic island and was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct undersea volcano which rises 600m from the seabed. The geographic position of Sipadan puts it in the centre of the richest marine habitat in the world, the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin, more then 3000 species of fish and hundreds of corals species have been classified in this rich ecosystem.

Itinerary:

DAY ONE – KOTA KINABALU / TAWAU / SEMPORNA / MABUL ISLAND OVERNIGHT (LD)

0655: Arrive at Tawau Airport and upon arrival, transfer by coach to Semporna and then by boat to Mabul Island. Check in at the chalet accommodation. Afternoon, orientation beach dives with a dive master. Overnight at Chalet – based on twin sharing accommodation with attached bathroom & air-condition. (Lunch & Dinner included)

DAY TWO – DIVING AT MABUL ISLAND OVERNIGHT (BLD)

After breakfast, proceed to Sipadan for 2 morning dives. Back to Mabuk for lunch and the remaining 1 dive will be either Kapalai or Mabul Island. Overnight at Chalet – based on twin sharing accommodation with attached bathroom & Air-condition. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY THREE – DEPART MABUL ISLAND / SEMPORNA / TAWAU / KOTA KINABALU (BL)

1100: After lunch, transfer to Semporna and then to Tawau airport for your flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to your hotel or to your next destination. (Breakfast & Lunch included)

Note:

All divers must show proof of diver verification from an internationally recognized Diver training Agency upon arrival or they will not be allowed to dive without first taking a diving course. All divers will be required to sign a Liability Release (waiver) and express assumption of Risk Form upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules. All divers must be with a buddy, no solo diving is allowed. Depth shall be limited to a maximum of 130 feet (40 meters). To night dive or cavern dive, divers must show proof of night, cavern, cave or wreck diving (with penetrations_ in the form of certification cards or log books documenting such dives. Divers should wait a minimum of 12 hours after diving before they fly. For Confirmation of trip, Divers require to provide Passport Particulars e.g. Name according to passport, passport number, date of birth, full/permanent address, nationality & certificate.
