Discover an escape of your very own by going back to nature on Pulau Tiga. If you love nature in its unspoilt state and have spent all your lives in cities, here’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience of an adventure on a desert island.
Pulau Tiga Park comprises of an area of about 15,864 hectares consisting of the islands of Pulau Tiga, Pulau Kalampunian Besar and Pulau Kalampunian Damit better known as ‘Snake Island’.
Pulau Tiga is the largest of the three islands and was featured in the CBS Reality Show “Survivor Series”
Access to Pulau Tiga is a 2 hour pleasant drive from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Penyu passing through a timeline of villages making a transition to modernity and a 20 minutes boat trip thereon to Pulau Tiga, 10 km off the shore line of the township of Kuala Penyu.
Day 1
Coach transfer from Kota Kinabalu city to Kuala Penyu and boat transfer from Kuala Penyu jetty to Borneo Survivor Resort, Pulau Tiga followed by guest check in, briefing, lunch, boat ride visit to natural mud volcano spa, dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast gather for dive briefing. First dive commence and Second dive should complete by lunch time pending with the sea condition. Overnight at Borneo Survivor Resort.
Day 3
After breakfast, proceed to Snake Island the unique attractions with its permanent resident the sea snake (Sea Krait) and the sea eagle then boat transfer to jetty Kuala Penyu. Arrive at Kuala Penyu Jetty and coach transfer to Kota Kinabalu City.
What to Expect
- Pristine unlogged forest, various species of orchids, ferns, palms and shrubs
- “Mud Volcanoes” formed from the eruption of several mud spouts caused by subterranean gas pressure that culminated into the geological formation of the island
- Megapodes, insects, birds and reptiles
